Finally finished up TTGL and man, was it epic win. Def deserved all the hype around it. It wasn't what i expected at all though as far as the story goes but that wasn't a bad thing.
Spoiler:
after kamina died i was kinda like WTF where are they gonna go with this now... but it turned out pretty damn good actually. To bad nia had to die/disappear though.
No idea what I'm gonna start next, maybe claymore.

And yeah FSN was good. All the Type moon shit is awesome.

For me TTGL stopped being good at episode 15. Anything after that was the same ol shit we've seen before.

Chaos;Head

Freaky, but interesting

Good show but the virtual novel explains things better and is 10x better. If you really like the show I'd buy the VN and download a translation pack, it's really worth it. It's not a dirty hentai type VN either, just a little more twisted than the show.

Except it's way more rad than all the other same ol' shit. It doesn't matter what the nice ladies in your life tell you, bigger is better!

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be in Osaka next februari so I'll look for it when I hit the Book-off in ded-den town there.

Anywho, I just started watching Ghost Hunt. I'm the 5th episode of this 13 episode series. The first 3 episodes weren't anything special, basically your normal introductory episodes but they weren't bad. However, the last one (4th episode) actually gave me the chills a few times which I can't say I've ever had that creepy feeling given to me by an anime. Being that this is suppose to be a creepy anime (at least that's what I gather so far) it's doing a pretty good job. lol

Okay so I just finished Ghost Hunt.

And.. have now suddenlly realized.. that the series isn't complete. There are more episodes, that much I'm thankful for.. but I'm also now kind of mad that they packaged this series as 13 episodes, when in fact it's actually a lot longer. At the end of the last cd, theres a preview for another episode which means this series is far from over.

I am somewhat relieved, since there hasn't really been much of a steady story. It's just been a bunch of different cases and I've hardly seen much character development. The characters of the series have been defined, but not a whole lot has been revealed about any of them. Man.. dammit, I was expecting this to be a complete series. It isn't. There's more to it. Fff.. I feel jipped.

Ecks, Myanimelist.net. Learn it, love it. And ghost hunt is 25 episodes man.

Yeah I figured I got jipped, when the you see the the "Next Episode" spoiler after what I bought is packaged as a 'complete series'. Complete my ass!

But thanks for the informative site. If only I could DL or purchase anime from there too. Now that'd be super cool.

Downloading something called "Witchblade". Hoping it turns out to be good. Last time I downloaded an anime for a Ad at a site I was rather pleased with it. So hopefully this turns out to be good.

WitchBlade is incredibly awesome. Enjoy!

Been Reading Gunslinger Girl as it comes out on paper since I cant find scanlations of it ANYWHERE. On that note both of the Gunslinger Girl animes contained a massive amount of FAIL.

Reading Hitman Reborn and Bleach as they Come out and Ive Started to Reread Fruites Basket.

Hmm? I rather enjoyed the first season of Gunslinger Girl. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a short 13 episode series, but there's a second season I believe. Haven't seen it yet though.

Anywho, I'm currently watching Tsubasa (or Reservoir Chronicle Tsubasa) season 1. I'm on the final disc but I can already tell there's got to be a second season to this anime. It's nearing the end and they've only collected 4 feathers that I've seen so far and I distinctively remember a ton of feathers being lost at the beginning of the series. So there has to be more to the story when this season reaches the final episode.

Plus I know there's more too it anyway (meaning a second season) since they're up to releasing a 10th dvd on the series (individually). I bought a season 1 box set which I'm pretty happy with. The only downside would be the sore lack of extra dvd content with the exception of the last (4th) dvd in this set. The fact that there are 6-7 episodes per dvd is great, but the final dvd is the only one with an 'Extras' option. I can't wait for the second season to be compiled into a box set as well.

I also bought Ergo Proxy. Watched a 'preview' for it and it looked like it could be interesting. The animation looked fluid so I'm going to give it a try sometime after watching Tsubasa.

I was also delighted to actually be able to find the box set for Ah! My Goddess. Season 2 (Flights of Fancy). I was very lucky, Tsubasa and Ah! My Goddess season 2 were actually two of the anime series I was really wanting and the store I bought from only had one of each left. ^^ So I happily grabbed them.

There is a second season to Tsubasa, as well as a movie (unrelated) and 4 ova coming out early next year. The 4 ova tie in with xxxHolic somehow and tie up both shows as far as I know.

As for me I am currently watching D.Gray-Man and am enjoying it so far. Only up to episode 26 atm but its good. Funny at times and the action is pretty decent, could have a little more of it but its not to dry either. Decent story so far too so we'll see how the other 70+ episodes go.

Yeah I was just checking out a little bit on Wiki and apparently xxxHolic is a sister series to Tsubasa. I'm looking forward to watching the second series, and I guess I might have to check out xxxHolic too if I see a box set floating around.

I just finished Tsubasa season 1 a little bit ago. I really enjoy the characters and the music is fantastic, kind of reminds me a lot of .Hack//Sign in some ways (musically). I am glad there is a second season, since the story's far from complete.

Edit: Also, apparently a lot of the characters have a connection to Cardcaptor Sakura (also by Clamp). This is kind of funny, since well the moment I saw Sakura in Tsubasa I had this weird feeling she really looked a lot like the Sakura in Card Captor Sakura, as if the name wasn't a dead give-a-way. But apparently that isn't the only similarity between the two. The king of Clow, Toya, is apparently also in CCS.

Hmm not only that but it looks like Clamp involved several of their other series within Tsubasa. Very interesting. Hehe.

Second Edit: Heh, I've been doing even more checking into since I figured there had to be more similarities between Tsubasa and Card Captor Sakura. I was right. There's a ton of character similarities. Nearly every character that shares the same name between the two also shares a very similar character design and even semi-similar roles. To me this can be seen as either Clamp being highly unoriginal or incredibly ingenious. Either way, it certainly was interesting to realize.

Can someone explain to me what OVA's are? There's episodes, movies, but I don't know what OVA's are.

I always called them OAVs for 'original action video' but I guess that's not quite it.

I believe OVA stands for 'Original Video Animation' and hey I just checked it out and I was right. Basically, it's almost like a pilot series. Generally they are all really short 3-4 episodes long. Some are only one episode long, they generally contain the major characters within the anime and try to familiarize the public with the anime. To gauge whether or not people would be interested in a full series.

They're generally made before any inkling of a TV series is made. But.. there was one OVA series I question this on.. but then.. I forgot which one that was. ._.; Anywho, I hope that explains it.

OVAs can also be a side story to an anime or something to rap a show up that doesn't need a full season. Sometimes its released with box sets of shows such as with Darker than black (was a one episode side story ova that was on the last DVD) or can be released on their own as well. Basically its when there is a story arc of a show that doesn't span a whole season, like usually not anymore than 6 episodes. Take for example FLCL, it was a full show start to end but only 6 episodes so its considered an OVA.

And Ecks I forgot about the Tokyo Revelations OVA for tsubasa if you didn't already see that. Its weird in that it takes place after episode 17 of the second season so basically cutting out 18-26 and the next ova will be a sequal to that ova. So it doesn't really flow that nicely. Also not to spoil it but Season two really doesn't rap things up either so don't go in expecting that. Hopefully this next Ova will kinda rap things up.

Oh and also check this: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=rel&aid=2733
Every orange arrow means the shows have a shared character, clamp likes to reuse people quite a bit eh lol.

Just finished watching Gravion and Gravion Zwei DVD's. It's such a cool anime^^
Gotta love the over dramatised mecha combination sequences lol. And not sure if it's just me but it kept reminding me of Neon Genesis Evangelion where there was a Zeravire(alien) invasion in nearly each episode which reminded me of the Angel attacks in NGE.

Just started watching Gurren Lagann. I've only watched up to the 4th episode and I'm surprised at how awesome it is already.

Though.. I'm bothered that there's no English voice acting. I bought it from Best Buy today and was a bit surprised that there was no English option on the audio ..options. It's not a huge problem because ..for the most part I can keep up with the dialog in Japanese. It just struck me as odd to be brought over and sold in the states and there not be English voice acting.
