An eye for an eye makes everyone blind? Give me a fucking break

They should throw him in a cell with Miros, that likes to rape the living shit out of his victims.

Give the both of them a life sentence, and the rapist viagra.

Fixed, and the viagra won't be necessary.

I know that dude deserves the harshest punishment he can get and to some extent, I do agree he should be executed but I always wondered: Does anyone really have the right to choose whether someone should live or die?

Maybe it's a question of morality, but I really don't think it's humane for anyone to decide.

douches like that threw away their humanity with their inhumane actions. Therefor, treat them like an animal.. we put animals to sleep because they are an endangerment to society or other various reasons.. for these jackasses that throw away their humanity, they shouldn't be treated humanely >.>

Throw him in jail. He'll probably get killed by the other in-mates.

This logic is so dangerous, not saying at all that this is your intent, but consciously dehumanizing another person no matter what they have done and one's assumptions on how base and primal it is is used to justify the cruelest of inhumanities people inact on one another.

I'm not going to morally qualify the death penalty, but I will say it is dressing up the act of a group or person killing another person to an extreme degree, to the point where it becomes objectively a ritualization.

They do say that over in the north village they're talking of giving up the lottery.

I think i saw it in a George Carlin stand up special. He was talking about how some states are trying to get rid of the death penalty, and Texas is putting in a fast lane.

That wasn't George Carlin, it was Ron White. He's a pretty decent comedian, but nothing all that great.

Carry on with discussion.

Throw him in a ring with a food deprived Rosie O'Donell and see who comes out the winner...

Then feed Rosie to a Killer Whale.

done and done.

Perhaps why I couldn't remember. You say Ron White, and all I can think about is getting thrown out of a bar like a frisbee, and of course "Tater Salad".

Though, I do wonder if what he said had any truth to it.

I dunno.. why should everyone be treated human when they don't act under the conducts of most normal human beings? And I mean.. most normal humans don't rape or murder. Those are the only two things so far that I think they should be dehumanized. There's no reason everyone born to the human race should be considered Human. Then again, this does bring up the "what does it mean to be Human?" kinda question :P

This is the correct answer when it comes to pedos. They do NOT do well in jail. At all. Lots and lots of repressed bad memories in jail come out when a pedo comes in.

Conduct is a social construction, so the question can then easily become why not define humanity based on social constructions of the meaning of human or subhuman? Genocide, racism, classism, a whole enumeration of -isms follows from categorizing humans as subhuman, human, even above human due to what a society defines as conduct befitting a human being.

What does it mean to be a human? God help us when people try to define that.

Murder is murder, some people call it sacrifice, some people call it justice, some people call it a crime, some even call it patriotism. What it means beyond its surface level is only a question of the ritual surrounding it and who is defining the right and the wrong of the matter. I'm not standing up for the person in question by any means, but some peoples comments about how they want this person to suffer is just sad. You know who else got off on making another human being suffer and recieve punishment, the perpetrator, doing it behind some veil of justice and enlightenment doesnt make it anything but what it is.

I see what you mean.. but ya... One who causes suffering deserves to suffer in return. Not because of "justice" or "vengeance" in that aspect but so they and others might learn and grow and mature. The truth is, very few seem to grow or change at all unless pain comes which forces them to learn. And when it's a pain that others can witness.. it, in turn, may help them learn and grow.

I dunno, in the end, I think it would be best for the species if those that are too weak to control themselves are killed off and their genes ended. The whole nature vs nurture thing.. it really is a bit of both. I've seen a friend who has had a horrible growing condition (his mother tried to kill him twice, father got laid off from work, he constantly got jumped when coming home from the public school he attended, etc) and yet.. he is a good person despite all that. He's strong, moral, and an admirable person that anyone can respect once you get to know him. People who have shared the same kinds of pains growing up.. others have come out worse and immoral, so it very much must be something in the genes as well as how they are raised. I just think, for the good of the human gene pool.. such weaknesses and weaklings of that sort should be eliminated. But, then again, I could, in no way, kill a human.. I just don't think I could ever bring myself to that or to any kinda order. So I might think it's a necessity to become that harsh and strict but could never really practice what I preach (so to speak).

I hope I'm somewhat understandable.. I just got done writing a paper and I'm kinda tired soo poorly wording myself, I think.

Eugenics is for the most part bad news. Its failed before and as technology increases the knowledge of a person via their genome is a dangerous power to have. While it is true that in a good deal of very violent behavior there can often be found a mutation in the x and y chromosomes for instance, but still it does not account for everyone and even so where is a reasonable bright line for gentic profiling. Another issue is that gentic conditions are not always passed on so not allowing someone to procreate because they are going to create more some sort of "deficiency" in the gene pool is folly.

The same trap opens up once again, most people carry a certain amount of lethal genetic traits that go unexpressed but could be expressed in their offspring, does this constitute a deficiency? In fear of contaminating the gene pool should we make sure that parents are sterilized? I mean how would you or I feel if we had to be forcefully sterilized because a possible gene deficiency?

Personally? I wouldn't care :P I hate kids and would prolly be a bad parent. Perhaps it would require a better understanding of genetics, but I believe, eventually, we can genetically enhance humans from such deficiencies. While it might not require the sterilization or elimination of the potential parents.. eventually we'll prolly be able to do that.. but for now, it might be imperfect way of dealing with such but it really hasn't been tried entirely before. I mean, the elimination of immoral and weak humans hasn't been done, just the elimination of something like religion or color or whatnot.. *shrugs* it's all theory anyways on my part (or more a hypothesis as I guess a theory is technically something different :P).

I'm against the death penalty - even in this case - because it seems having them stew with the repetition that is incarceration would be a much more severe punishment to them. Not only is it cheaper for the community, it also doesn't bring up the whole "allowing someone to get away with murder" (which is what it does do)...

To clarify - forcing someone to sit in jail, having nothing to do but things such as manual labor, and having no real freedom of their own, only able to think of what they did for the next few decades...seems to be a much more meaningful punishment by far. But that's just my opinion.

The problem is that they no longer have "nothing to do" in jail. They have cable/satellite TV, computers with internet access, and I believe they even have playstations/xbox's. It's gotten significantly softer over the years, because people are too concerned with making their stay "humane" when in reality it's making the life a lot easier. If it wasn't for the other inmates, prison would almost be a goddamn hotel.

Personally I'm for killing them, it's a shitload cheaper(As of 3 years ago, it was costing almost 2 million a year to keep them in jail, most likely even more now) and honestly they deserve it. You're going to rape anyone, let alone a kid? You should die by getting raped yourself with a giant spiked dildo.

yay for Bajaratt! that's a great way for them do die :P

It is fact that there are more violent men then women. Why is that? It is not because males have a more horrible childhood, nor that they are raised all that different then females. It is because females have a more stable mind. In the same way, we have more male geniuses than female geniuses. Our species is the master at adapting to our environment, and in order to do that more effective, we need to learn. Due to that, the males in the species have a more varied mind. Its been well known that you're born with a criminal defect, due to various reasons I'll explain later. In the same way, you can be born a genius. Females have a smaller chance then males at being born a criminal or a genius. Hence, males bring the development of our species forward faster then females do. However, it also means males can bring about the destructions of others and themselves to a greater extent then females.

In order to become a serious criminal like the guy in the article, it requires several things. With simply a bad childhood, you don't become a criminal, as was stated in an example earlier. However, without a bad childhood you can still become a criminal. You can't blame the parents for having a criminal child. If someone is naturally born a criminal, if they also have a bad childhood, they'll have a larger chance of growing up to be a criminal as described in the article.

Most criminals are addicted to risk taking. They get a kick out of it, and it is what makes them going. Its the same as with people that do mountain climbing, speeding, para shooting etc. They get a kick out of it. In the case of pedophiles, they have a stronger sexual drive, a kind of sexual addiction. They also have worse self-esteem, in some cases due to their upbringing. In most cases, they don't want to do it, but they can't stop. They're kind of like bullies. A lot of people get a kick out of having sex outdoors, due to the suspense of the possibility of getting caught. In the same way, some sex offenders stick with masturbating, say, in front of a lone woman on a train. They risk getting caught by someone else, and they put someone else in a situation where they are afraid and uncomfortable, giving them a further kick.

I can assure you that a sexual offender would, in a majority of cases, prefer not having their strong sexual drive and lack of ability to control it. They would, in the majority of cases, prefer getting sterilized. Its not something they can control.

Sterilizing them would, first of, remove another sexual offender, thus helping the nation as a whole. It would also help the sex offender himself, and gives them a chance to get their life together again. Registering as a sex offender doesn't help the criminal, and will only put their entire community towards them. Its not a solution to the problem. Sterilizing them is, and helps rather then destoys. The movie "Little Children" is a good example of what I'm talking about.

I'd write more, but I have to go to work. So I'll do it once I get home instead.
