Another War?

[SARCASM] Bring back the old British Empire, most of these problems all started when we let everywhere have independance [/SARCASM]

That's why the middle-east doesn't like the British. They left them get fucked over by the Russians. It's been so long since world history I think that's right.

Nuclear energy doesnt degrade the o-zone layer if that is what you are saying. Its the cleanest way to produce energy in this world without damaging our enviorment.

Wtf.... are you on... I just read this post. Doesn't degrade ozone cleanest way to produce energy. Nuclear energy's waste is NUCLEAR WASTE. That is radioactive it's NOT clean. Windmills are clean, Hydro powered engines are clean, and solar power is clean. Nuclear energy clean?

I agree lets just fucking kill them all. It's another Vietnam we don't know who is fucking "innocent" and who is an Insurgent. Hell kill two birds... three birds with three hundred megaton stones. There goes those threats. Afghanistan is almost there they just can't agree on shit.

About the only thing you got right was the UN creating Israel.

Are you one of the people that believe all White House press releases? If so you're an idiot. There have been reports that have said there are no ties to Iraq to 9/11. Stop fapping your mouth and actually read news online.

Sharpe said it before with the Quran not wanting people to kill and people living in harmony. Wanna know why? WE have the SAME FUCKING GOD. Judaism, Islamic, and Christianity share the same deity. I had to say it twice for emphasis. The problem with Middle-eastern nations is only about 1/3 of them can actually read and have an education. Otherwise most of the peoples are easily influenced. Watch let's take a basic passage: God says Thou shall not kill. With a few edits I can go... (Dramatic suspense) God says Thou shall ... kill. Amazing isn't? That is what basically happens and you get the martyrs who think they'll get 72 virgins, come on where would one find 72 virgins?

Also 9/11 wasn't the first attempt of Al Qaeda trying to attack the WTC. I believe it was 1991 when there was bombs set off in the underground parking garages of the WTC buildings and they found out that Osama Bin Laden was connected to those. Didn't Bill Clinton in 1998 do air-raid to Baghdad for some reason?

The U.S. backed so many of those countries because they were fighting against communism. That is the only reason the U.S. backed any of those nations. What did we do after they gained their independence? We left them to themselves to figure it out. That is why they don't like us. WE fucked them over and left them to get dictator to rule them so the country could work a certain extent. Once again THAT is why they don't like us.

Carpet bomb Israel over what? They let the Palestinians get the city. Are they still fighting? Yes because it will be like that because that is the holy city to Hebrew people. All I get from your post is intolerance of Jews. Just like Cartmen blame it on the Jews.

1 - Where did I say that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11? I didn't, so what's your point?

2 - Yeah, so Christianity, Judaism and Islam all have the same god, and all are "peaceful". That may be, on some level, true, except you have all three religions, either in the past, or in the present, killing others for, at the most core reasons, not being of the same religion as the killers. Why else would the Americas and the Caribbean islands be Christian? Or Africa being mostly Christian or Islamic? Or parts of Asia being either Christian or Islamic? Some was conversion, some wasn't, it was forced. The Inquisition? Rome became Christian because Constantine thought "God" saved him one day. He still used his armies to kill people afterwards, only he was suddenly doing it in the name of the Christian god. The Muslim sweep across North Africa and parts of Spain? It was a conquest, and when the armies entered the cities, they killed the natives if they didn't convert (and weren't women). And then there's all those battles that the Old Testament talks about, and the wrathful, vengeful god that the Israelites fought for. Seriously, the "good books" can talk all they want about being peaceful, but in practice they're not really all that peaceful (or haven't been, at times, in their past). Strangely enough, the oldest one, Judaism, stopped their fighting first, the second oldest one, Christianity, stopped their fighting (for the most part) second, and the youngest one, Islam, still wants to kill Jews.

3 - Carpet bomb Israel - yeah, so I was being sarcastic. But they only way this problem (the "middle east" problem) is going away is if you get rid of at least an entire side of haters. Now way you can get the intelligence to know who each and every anti-American/anti-Western/anti-Israel Muslim is, so just get rid of them all and the problem goes away. But hey, that still leaves the other side (Israel), and that wouldn't be fair. So get rid of both sides completely and you suddenly have zero problems relating to Arab-Israeli relations. But again, sarcasm.

4 - Well, if we didn't intervene on the opposite side of USSR, I'm sure those countries would have been just peachy, eh? It's not exactly cool what we did, but it wasn't exactly cool what the USSR did, either, yet because they collapsed, it's all the US' fault now?

5 - I read online that there's buildings on Mars and an inter-dimensional teleportation device INSIDE Saturn. That makes it true?

Afghanistan (and Iraq, rightly or wrongly) is/are the result of 9/11. If 9/11 didn't happen, the US wouldn't have bombed the crap out of those two nations. Maybe 9/11 happened because of the first Gulf War (when the US bombed the crap out of Iraq), but ultimately, they are retaliation (and a bit of preventativeness) for an act.

Uh... you tried to connect Iraq to 9/11. You said we wouldn't have bombed Iraq if 9/11 didn't happen sounds like you're trying to connect Iraq to 9/11 to me. The U.S. has had problems with Saddam for 10 years. I think the Iraq thing was inevitable because originally Bush was trying to nail Saddam for WMDs which never existed, and never 9/11 until the WMD thing didn't work. So Bush change it to Al Qeada connections and attacks on 9/11.

2. Columbus had two voyages. The second was for spreading Christianity. The Puritans left Britain for Holland then left Holland after the Danish kicked them out. The Puritans then went to the King of Britain at the time and go hey we'll set up a colony for you over in the new world for ya just give us the ship. The Puritans brought Anglican to America. Rome became Catholic after Constatine came back after a war with Purssia. He was crossing a bridge and saw a light and became inspired that is when Rome became Catholic. People, even rulers, were stupid back then. Remember they still believe that the Earth was the center of the universe. Lets see the Muslims were also afraid of Vlad the Impaler from tiny Wallachia (now Romania and Hungry). Things are taken out of context all the time. The bibles are guidelines for leading a good life and promote peace. People contort it to their favor so they get the uneducated to fight for them. That is what happened. This applies to even Muslims. It's the people from Palestine that wants to kill the Jews for "taking" their land not once, but twice. Not all of the Muslims want the Jews dead, if you're thinking of mass Genocide you're thinking of post-WW1 Europe hating the Jews.

3. So reap the benefits of Israel who doesn't hate us. Then not go after the head honchos of crude oil export (Saudi Arabia)? Destroying all of the middle-east can cause giant problems involving Russia. Hell Russia has said if we were to invade Iran Russia would instantly assist Iran. So carpet bombing the whole place doesn't work yet. Iran is only in developing ways to make the plutonium grade technology stages. North Korea is in testing stage. Napalm the shit out of North Korea send in troops because they can't hide. Hell why not just take a few bombers when Kim W/ethefuckhisnameis is showing off his military? That is bye bye Kim WTFHNI and his army. Then focus on the crazy bastard in Iran.

4. Yes it is our fault because we left them with nothing to build on except example. That is why they hate us besides the lifestyle we have. They hate us because we fucked them over in the end. We were too busy fighting Communism.

5. Could be you never know how old the universe really is because isn't time only an invention of man? Hell Day Light Savings was put in until the 1920s to "conserve" energy that is time manipulation. Time zones were put in when trains became the main source of transportation. Time zones were put in so the trains would never be late. Albert Einstein put it best with this question. Is time an actual thing or something that man just made up himself? For all we know it could be the year 5,000,000 AD and we're far behind the technological curve to other species if there are any.

Note: I am not a big religious person. Your close mindedness is just... mind blowing.

I say we carpet bomb and destroy the entire country. Kill everyone, and start over. Dead people aren't much of a threat to our lives, now are they? If you're worried about the innocent people that would die too, then stfu and get over it. In the end, it's the only way to be safe from the radical and irrational views that islam forces upon it's people. Iran, Iraq, shit the whole middle east is a sesspool of hate, death, and crime. Eliminate the middle east and N. Korea and you have yourself a much safer world. All it takes it the push of a couple buttons and a good use to our tax money that's already invested in the weapons necessary to kill them all.

Before you flame me: Yes, that is Genocide. But as a culture, they've demonstrated that they're main will is to slay their enemies. In this modern world that is unacceptable, and it's better to kill than be killed.

sorry what? I'm not a homicidal maniac

it's a front if you know what Islam represents tyvm

that's a pretty fucking ignorant thing to say, how about we go ask N. and S.Korea how they are treating each other?

The world today is one of conformity. I'm saying wipe the middle east all-together. However, the radical islamic people of the middle east are the cause of the majority of the problems over there. At least they are in my opinion. I won't say that I'm not ignorant on the finer points of the islamic religion, I know I am. I will say that if you feel we can just sit back and let the fighting continue, after over a thousand years of this retarded bullshit, and do nothing? Like the rest of the world won't be pulled into this shit? This world is much smaller now than it used to be. We have planes that can circle the world in less than an hour, do you think we can't be hit by a missle? A warhead, a nuke, chemical warfare? Kill, or be killed. Conform, or you're obsolete. Iran, Iraq, etc... What are they contributing to this world? Nothing. They're contributing nothing but pain, war, famine, heart ache, fear, disease, consumption. There's not growth. To me, that gives that country no value. Eliminate it and make the entire world a safer place. Leave it, and the entire world has a constant threat from the fuckers that live there. Don't blame me because you choose not to see reality and think on a grander scheme. Think larger then your life. If I died and it saved 100,000 people; I would die. If I killed 1 million people to save 1 billion people... Well, damning my soul for the greater good of the world seems worth it to me.

Islam has a few weird passages that aren't really specific to a particular time, though some argue that they are. The "Sword Verses" and a few others, which are vaguely written as to context, and basically divide the world into 3 categories. The faithful, the subjugated, and infidels, and basically admonishes Islam to reduce that grouping by one. Guess which? >.>;

It doesn't really mesh with the concept of defensive war espoused in other parts of the Koran, but hey, most religious tomes are written a.) by commitee, b.) for personal/political power, and c.) by people who aren't what we would call well grounded in reality.

See: South Park episode 108, "All About Mormons". God I love that one.

Yes, I dislike france because the majority of their populace hates America.

Oh my god you re so lol, by you i mean you and not the american people.

I'm French and i have only one advice for you, stop believing what says the television, all the Americans are not stupid and all the "France populace" don't hates America, racism talks are nothing to do here!!

PS: Yes, I dislike france because the majority of their populace hates America. News flash: We gave you your country back. Twice.

FYI, most of the world is pissed of at America right now, not just France.

Also, you're a nut.

I quite agree - Kotsu, you're a complete loon.

My gosh, and you Americans wonder why people don't like you. Not judging you all on this one particular example, but seriously - what the devil are you teaching in your schools?

Geee......I wonder what country gave America that giant statue in New York as a token of freindship?

The Muslim population in my country gets along fine with Christians. Saying or implying that all people that practice Islam are out to murder you in your sleep is the biggest bullshit I've ever heard.

History is adjusted in many countries to outline their strengths it seems. When I was in high school there was strong discussion and emphasis placed on the Battle of Vimy Ridge, which was taken by Canadian forces in WW2.

I'm not sure if it was really that much of an accomplishment compared to other victories but we certainly did dig deep into it.

I know why Aussies don't like us, because we kicked Englands ass for our freedom, and you guys are still her bitches lololol. You guys even had to pay her 2mil pounds for her to show up at the Olympics LOLOSERS!!!!

My question would be this:

Why specifically us?

What Kotsu is expressing is a minority opinion on the matter. What about tin pot dictators like Kim Jong Il, or the lunatic in Iran, a country part of whose stance on world history is that the Holocaust never happened? What about those currently conducting genocide and rape campaigns in Africa? They get a free pass because they're not so "enlightened" as we?

Yeah, go ahead and keep thinking we're the bad guys, a nation so evil that instead of just blowing up your country, we'll stick around long enough to help you rebuild it, get stable politically, socially, and economically then place the reigns back in the hands in which they rightfully belong. We've got 60 years worth of that little atrocity under our belts.

We're the bad guys all right, so totally deserving of the disgust and ire of the civilized world.

As to what they teach in our schools, well, one thing they teach us is this: we're a nation that was started by a bunch of people who first fled religious persecution, then rebelled against a tax system they found to be tyrannical and unjust. Leaving the tax issue aside, let's address the religious persecution angle.

I have no doubt that the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful, tolerant people who are fundamentally no different than myself; however, they are allowing their religion to be hijacked by a small, well-funded minority of fanatical nutbags, even to the point of allowing some entire countries to succumb to their machinations. And you want to talk about intolerance and religious persecution? Try some of these on for size:

· In Turkey, it is a punishable offense to convert to Christianity. It is also a crime to proselytize on the Christian faith.

· In Afghanistan, it was a capital offense to convert from Islam to any other faith. The law remained on the books even after the Taliban was ousted from power.

· When the Shah of Iran went into exile, there were instances where Christians were crucified.

If that’s not religious persecution, I don’t know what is. It’s ok though, I can see where the rest of world would want to focus its anger on us, a country so afraid of coming off as bigoted, racist, or fanatical that we won’t even secure our own borders. Hell, it’s harder to get into Mexico, for God’s sake. Don’t believe me? Ask the boxcar of Hondurans that they sent home.

So by all means, ye “civilized societies,” keep looking down your noses at us piggish, warmongering Americans. Keep turning a blind eye to the fact that the only reason there are any free nations in the modern world is that a lot of men with a lot of guns shed a lot of blood to buy us a place to stand and debate one another. And just as quickly as our nations arose, they could once again vanish. Keep in mind, the concepts of democracy, the republic - everything we see as the building blocks of the modern Western nation, all these were originally envisioned by Greek and Roman philosophers. These concepts were swept out of humanity’s grasp for more than two thousand years, largely on an ocean of religious fanaticism.

Now please, don’t misunderstand me, Eliott, I’m only quoting you because your post best summarized the worldview that angers me so as an American. I’m also not pounding my chest in defense of Christianity here. The examples of Christian persecution are simply the most ready examples of the schism so obviously extant within the Muslim faith, and by extension Muslim countries.

Even though I don't (and I'm willing to bet the overwhelming majority of Americans don't either) agree with each and every thing Kotsu has had to say on this topic, I'll defend with my last breath his right to say it.

Rae: Yes there are hazy parts of the Qu'ran because it's translated from Arabic to English so there is some lost in translation and some are very hard to understand especially for a convert(myself) since customs are different than those in modern society and have different priorities

Well Kotsu before I explain myself I'll say that I'm not bashing you I'm answering "Why don't you look past your own life", "Why not conform and live with it?",etc.

I have a backbone it's not the strongest in the world or the one that holds the bonds of life together, but it exists. So the rest of the world is gunning down at the place where Islam began and are implying "Conform or die". It's called loyalty. Life is short and sweet and I'm not ready to die just yet but I'm not going to toss what makes me who I am aside for another's comfort when it in no way is neccesary to their guilded and double standard goals. Why worry about what others think if you can do it peacefully?

Supporting my religion doesnt mean I am caring only about my own life, I feel that I am supporting others as a whole irl or online(lol if you want). The reason I decided to post is because if i can convince one person that our religion isn't worth tossing away then I have helped sustain it. It doesnt matter where it comes from it may not be the most reliable to the considered objective person, but it makes you think. Thinking by all people makes us able to consider what is neccesary to act on and what not to touch.

"Wonder...is the seed of knowledge"-Francias Bacon

I can die for my religion rather than live like a dog. Do people truly(as in honestly) convert to another religion for it's power or influence? Yes. Should it be that way? I dont believe so. Why? Because it shows you have no loyalty to anyone and moreso you are blind deaf and dumb and have to support the side that has the "edge". It's the same reason why U.S.A was created because people felt different than the British. (The starting reason is because they wanted voice in govt. since they paid taxes yes I know.)

There is a saying "Die on your feet than live on your knees"

I'm not like a computer and will follow as most do "Conform or you're obselete"

It's probably a good thing I deleted my post then, cuz shit got real mean in it and yeah... -.-;; Though, take a look at the popular belief of Americans right now. They're so worried about the war in Iraw, that they may actually cry their ways out of Iran. The 15 Naval soldiers detained in Iran have been given a choice by the E.N. (European Nations): Release the naval officers with no ramifications or clauses, or shit hits the fan. At least, that's reported as of 4pm by CNN TV. I noticed it as I was in the customer lounge getting coffee. The Unites states has become some democratic that they fail to realize the world looks to us for guidance. We just need a real leader there. I'm republican and I don't agree with Bush, but I'll back him 100%. Patriotism is extremeley important in this time of strife.

Edit - Khidir (We were posting at the same time =/ )

Here's a big thing though, and mainly what I was referring to in conformity:
Khidir said:

Christianity, Judiasm, Islam. In America, they can all function together very peacefully. Hell, most the world I'd say I'm gullible enough to believe they can function together relatively peacefully. However, they need to conform to the way that it works. If they can't, they're obsolete. I'm not saying kill every islamic person in the world because there's many that cause no problems in other countries. I'm saying drop all of them in Middle East. That's the only way the world will be safe, for now. As someone else said, there's always a biggest fish. Destroy the middle east, destroy N. Korea... Well, I'd say we have ourselves world peace. Even Cuba isn't really threatening anyone.

I am aware that Kotsu's opinion is a minority, and I do admit to lumping his view with a few others which are not quite as extreme, but it is definitely not the first time I have heard it. I apologise for generalising.

In fact I have nothing against the American people whatsoever really - I have friends and relatives that are proud citizens of the USA. However, I do take issue with those who express opinions such as Kotsu's (whatever their nationality may be - it just so happens that in this particular case, my target was American). Views which seem to me, so skewed, so detached from the international community that I wonder what kind of environment would encourage such thoughts.

Although I do agree with you in one respect, he has the right to express such an opinion if it suits him. Then again, the rest of the world and I, also have the right to speak on all these alleged things you decide to do in the name of our freedom.

And again I use the pronoun "you" capriciously. I know that John Smith from Florida has absolutely no bearing on say the atrocities of Abu Ghraib - he was probably as repulsed by them as I was. I of course mean the United States government - who somehow, amidst all their righteous crusading, still manage to profiteer from the war-mongering industry.

Do I think myself more civilised than you? No, absolutely not. But I won't stand idly by and pretend that genocide is a "good idea" - a real "problem solver", indeed! Nor will I allow myself to be deluded into thinking that all decisions reached and actions executed by the American government are in my best interests and that I should pay homage to the great democratic power for purging the world of all it's problems - for the very notion of a "problem" is a matter of subjectivity.
