Diabolos not the only new avatar to come

Ok with all the excitement over the newest avatar to be able to be summoned many people may have missed out on all the little clue's SE seems to like to give us as a teaser.

If you read in the cutsceen it talked about the Celestial and Terestrial avatars. The current 6 Celistial avatars that are available to summon are Garuda, Ifrit, Shiva, Ramuh, Levi, and Titan. During the CoP cutsceen in upper jeuno in the infirmary Tenzen names some of the Terestrial avatars.

They are as follows Fenrir-The gaurdian of the Moon, Carbuncle- The bringer of rainbows, Diabolos-The ruler of dreams. Bahamut-The Conqueror of the skies, and Phoenix-The firey bird of Resurrection.

If you remember Tenzen said that he met Phoenix in the far east, she blessed his sword and he has come seeking the other 5. So that means off in the future there will be not only 5 Terestrial avatars but 6. We already currently have 3 of them now, Fenrir, Carby, and Diabolos.

Now if you happen to be in windy and head to the top of the Optistery, there is a NPC there who will show you the Stellar Map. This map shows a star chart showing constelations of all the Celestial avatars along with 3 others who are not currently in game. They are Alexander, Odin, and Chocobo. On the map Alexander and Odin take the place of the Light and Dark with the rest of the Celestial avatars.

Lets recap for a second. We know there is 8 elements and sofar a summon for each one. Light- Carby, Dark-Fenrir, Water-Levi, Earth-Titan, Fire-Ifrit, Wind-Garuda, Ice-Shiva, and Lightining-Ramuh.

If we break this down under Terestrail and Celestial avatars you will find (based on all that we know at this point) that:

Celestial Avatars =
Levi-Water
Titan-Earth
Ifrit-Fire
Garuda-Wind
Shiva-Ice
Ramuh-Lightining
with a possiblity of Odin and Alexander as Light and Dark.

Terestrial Avatars =
Fenrir-Dark
Carbuncle-Light
Diabolos-Dreams
Remember how Tenzen said he came in search of the other 5???? Total of 8 avatars minus the 3 we already have = 5. SE has already hinted that Phoenix and Bahamut are Terestrial avatars. Also when they referance an avatar in game off in the future we are able to summon it.

If you follow the clues that SE has left for us you can see that off in the distant future, (only SE knows when it will happen) that not only should we get the ability to call upon Phoenix and Bahamut... We should also get Odin, Alexander, and another 3 Terestial avatars who have yet to be disclosed by SE to my knowldge.

Some people may say no way SE wouldn't beef up SMN like that. However I don't see it as beefing up the job of SMN, moreso of giving us SMN's more of a chance to widen our abilities and have more of an option in any given battle. It is not like we would become 1000X stronger if we are given the total 7 new avatars who should be comming, rather just have a wider option of which avatar to use for various fights.

I mean look at all the spells and abilities other mage type of jobs have such as BLM, WHM, or RDM. One of FF's main characters is the Summoner, in every game it is often needed for many battles and is rather powerful. So why wouldn't they expand the number of avatars available in order to attract new attention to the game?? They already did it with Diabolos.

What do you guys think?? What other 3 Terestrial avatars would you like to see on top of Phoenix and bahamut??

So why is this a good thing? So more SMNs can be even more powerful and go off to join all SMN linkshells and be total bitches about helping out and joining normal end game LS's because it doesn't benefit THEM enough.

Diabolos didnt add any ultra powerfull new powers to SMNS <,< just added some fun stuff to play with, along with the ranged 70 BP for use on kited mobs.

Lol Deci I would expect this from you.

First off I'd like to point out that leveling SMN to 75 is the hardest job in the game and has had by far the lowest population server wide for alongtime even with the shortage of whm's to exp with.

Maybe that is a reason why some SMN's maybe bitter and have their hand out, I am not them so I can't say for sure.

As for what you have said in your post honestly I tend to agree with you somewhat on it. I noticed on this server that alot of SMN's didn't work together to attain the goals they all wanted. It's more of a I am better then you attitude and your such a gimp you don't have XYZ item. After 70 everyone wants a SMN, but what about all their hard work to get to that point? What about gear they need to become even more powerful in order to help an end game LS such as Yingyang robe? Do they not deserve this?

Take a look at some of the TOP NA LS's server wide. Put ego's and differances aside for a minute and realize I speak of TOP NA LS's as in those who have been able to take down Tiamat, Vrtra, Jorm and other land kings with ease. The only LS here that I know of that is NA who has been able to do this is Kaizen. Take a look at the SMN team of Kaizen and what gear they have. I think that says it all.

Now with SMN's not helping other's much... Point for you. However SMN's don't even help themself's really until reciently.

Why is an all SMN LS a good thing?? Well simply becasue it gives SMN's a place to meet up hangout, exp for far greater exp then in a normal party in order to reach 75 and full merits faster. Also it's a place where some of the more skilled SMN's and ones who already have the best gear came come in and helpout fellow SMN's attain that gear and/or pass along some knowldge about the job and how to do it to the best of their abilities.

It seems to me that your taking a shot at my LS AstralBurn since it's an all SMN LS. That's ok I can understand why and what you don't know is this: That in my LS I encourage my SMN's to join Endgame and HNM LS's, I have pointed quite a few of them to various Dynamsis and Endgame LS which often at times is the reason AB can get pretty few in numbers.

As for helping, I often encourage my LS members to help others as much as possible. Just lastnight I was off work sick so I decided to go help with a planned Carby Mittens run which turned into several hours and was a total of like 10-12 mittens we got for people. IMO was a great thing. The first drop was an offering I had gotten extra (1 of 3 extra's we brought) which dropped a Light Spirit pact. There was a little confusion over what was going to happen in regards to casting lots on the pacts. Since I brought along with me 5 other smn's 70+ to help (and there was a total of about 13 who wanted to come help but told them to go exp or something since we had more then enough ppl to help) and it was my offering I felt that since I didn't already have the Light Spirit Pact on my character Moev in all fairness it should be mine. Everyone casted lots and Scwall won, however he nicely gave me the pact when he could have just said F U it's mine. Tell me Deci was that greedy of me??

All I know is that in my books Scwall in koo sh*t and whenever he is in need of a favor I'll do everything in my power to fill whatever zone for whatever fight he needs with so many 70+ SMN's it will make ur head spin.

Not knocking other leaders (I know how time consuming running a LS can be and all the hard things about trying to keep everyone happy) but I choose to lead by example. Which means I put myself out for my LS and others who are not even members. Which is also the reason when Ziphor got the second Light Spirit Pact drop of the night I overpaid the price of it since he needed a new ring and this Sat I will be giving it away to a LS SMN who needs it. This also means when we get such items as a yingyang robe I will be the last SMN who is able to wear it who will take it of those who are the fight.

So Deci, I understand where you are comming from. I am just 1 player who loves the job of SMN who is doing what I can to helpout my fellow SMN's also while showing them through leading by example that when we helpout others and work together, not only do we have a great time and make some new very grateful friends, we also have fun and get all the stuff we need done in time. Rome wasn't built in a day.

When it comes to your LS, I know you and my gf of the time had words. I know she is a bitch I lived with her so don't cry to me about it lol. Personally I have some issues with it from way way back before you were even a member, which I don't care to get into with you since it is in the past. I have heard you guys are working hard to improve your image and have taken down some of the TOP HNM's in the game so thats great for you and all the best. If BOL is or was in need of SMN's and I knew about it I would approch my SMN's who were currently looking for an endgame LS and let it be known your seeking SMN's. Same as I do for other LS's. Personally for my own reasons I choose to not be a member of BOL ever, and yes I was asked to join a number of times in all my years playing. However if your LS was in need of a SMN and I was online and not busy I would lend my services same as I would do for any other LS. Only thing I would expect is that if some item dropped that was used by SMN's and I was the only SMN who was able to use it I would get it, which is pretty standard.

I work alot and don't have much time to play so I don't see this issue comming up really. Either way to answer your question, this is why I believe it is a good thing for SMN's. Furthermore this is what I am doing and what AB is all about. I wonder just what you are doing deci, to improve things for the game and your LS relations or personal relations with SMN's?
 
Marajade exactly, like I said it is just giving SMN's more tools to work with. People shouldn't be suprized to see after the next expansion 1 or several new avatars available.

Zethren LMFAO!!! That was just funny ^^. I doubt they really ment Chocobo as in an avatar which SMN's can summon. Probally just didn't want to release a name and put Chocobo down. It's much better to say Chocobo instead of Bahamut and then change your mind about releasing it to SMN's and pissing off many of them.

Hmm... If there is a phoenix avatar... then they can have an all-party reraise buff or something... That'd be awesome! As for Bahamut... I don't know what buffs it could have, maybe invincible or something?

As for other avatars.... What about Eden or Quetzacoatl even?
 
Chances are, we'll see more summons in the future. All I can say is, "go summoners" because this just makes them even better. How come SE's only giving Summoners new things? NIN need new spells and stuff. I think they should stop making new jobs and summons, and give all the other jobs new abilities and spells.

boy does that sound familiar.. sadly it is true. So many SMNs out there seem to think they are gods gift to man :| (atleast.. I've met quite a few with an ego that just makes me want to slap them). Luckily I know other SMNs that aren't like that and are nice :P

Anyways, I think there is only 6 terestrial. When Tenzen meant the other 5 he atleast meant Fenrir, Carbuncle, Bahamut, and Diabolos (since he already met Pheonix but has YET to meet those 4). Just cause you the player has met them doesn't mean its from your perspective. From Tenzen's he hasn't met those 4 yet. As long as SE didn't screw up the english and realizes that "other 5" meant 5 different avatars opposed to the one he has met already (6 total) than that means there is atleast 1 more to be released.
 
Have some patriotism and let's root for that skinned bird like summon we all know and love, Quetzalcoatl. He'd kick that old man's ass.

that's reasonable. But I still wish he was a serpenty thingy like the Aztecs had him :P
 
I'd put my money on something like Odin or Alexander. They need a Holy or Non-Elemental summon in there.
 
0/53 on diabolos.If other avatars came out i don't think i'd be willing to spend the rest of my life on them.
 
You guys just wait till all the DRKs on the server make their own LS and overpower everything.
 
Zilart released avatars, Promathia released one, so I'd rate the possibility of another in Aht Urghan fairly high. Might have to wait two years for it, but it'll come eventually.
 
if SMN get a new avatar, I want a second wyvern! >:|
