OK i'm tired of this crap so i'm just gonna a decent response and hope every one with the right piece of mind or the hay stack w/e is in the head, reads it.
Everyone plays this game to have fun. Some people have fun by killing stuff ,some have fun by accomplishing stuff, some have fun by the gear you get from accomlishing stuff and some have fun by ruining the fun of others.I have you aren't the last type.If you are one of the types mentioned before the last type read what i write below this dot .
Do not! Do not join a linkshell or accept leadership if the leader is not clear towards the rules / destribution about money / items.Eventhough one might think one doesn't care about money / gear, but in this game you need both to have fun.So its not cool if it goes or is destributed among fewer hands. As someone once mentioned its called a pyramid LS.And pyramid LS suck the life out of people who don't speak up.Every linkshell must have a website.Everylinkshell must have points written up there.Gil gotten from items and where it goes is even more better.Trust me if people see their points of how much they worked and how fairly the stuff is destributed, they work harder.Otherwise the confusion alone makes the game hell / not fun.And i'd suggest you being without a LS instead of being in a LS that shafts people for long periods of time.Everything fairly destributed is the way to go.Just because a leader assumes he did the most work doesn't mean he actually owns w/e he puts his finger on./cheers jingod he still has dumb asses farming for him

Actually.. I apologize for interjecting.. I'm just sick of seeing LS drama tear otherwise great shells apart.. While Lavi and I FAR from see eye-to-eye (read she doesn't really like me) I see her side right now and so far it's pretty unfair.. however the LS issues aren't my business and while VERY curious now .... I'll bow out .. Again.. I apologize for interjecting so quickly, I just see this far too often.. I hope it's all resolved quickly...

I left Affinity right before the Limbus fiasco because I knew something like this was coming. People looked to me for leadership and to start a new shell but I couldn't. When people started asking me to start a new shell I knew that Affinity's days were numbered. I have no problem with Affinity or anyone in it save for a few instances. For awhile I was holding Affinity together as best I could and helping nonstop with CoP missions and organizing sky farming as much as I could. I didn't want the role but it became necessary because I was the only vocal one. I was not the ls leader and I couldn't force the direction of the shell as I envisioned it and did not see it happening so I left with many others from Affinity to reform.

I wish no ill will towards Affinity and they were good to me over the time I spent with them. I hope that the leadership gets into the right hands and they become as successful as they once were.

Lavi I hope that your requests for help will not go unanswered with us and they shouldn't because the people who did help as much they could are with us. I also want to do some KS and ENMS so let me know.

I agree... If you join anything end-game that's supposed to be more then a social shell & they don't have a website or forum setup somewhere with rules & other info.....they're small-time or unorganized & probably not gonna get very far before they break shell. The shell might last for months or years, but it will inevitably break & is not worth joining. End-game shells become a job & a responsibility & if they're good...they're usually even more organized than most people's real jobs.

Also if you notice for like (insert your opinion of a good period of time here, imo it's 2 months.) your shell isn't doing anything & has gone cold & stale, you need to leave or forever beat yourself over the head with that hard ass piece of baked goods.

A lot of the problems sounded so familiar, and some of those happened to my LS as well. From gil distribution to lack of motivation, to something as simple as a "hello" (We have brought this issue up in LS meeting just to encourage ppl saying hello to make ppl feels like they are at home, and it works) .

Do you really think saying a simple hello is too much? Typing 5 little letters and make others feel welcomed is too much work to do? If one says hello and get no response and one would be discouraged and won't have the attachment with the group, and if you guys don't work together it's just a bunch of ppl bounded by partnership and benefits and it won't last long.

It just make me appreciate my own LS a little more, went thru bad times numerous times, and bounced back countless times+1(just went thru the 2nd biggest big stabbing in LS history, but now the back stabber is gone and i hope every will back into peace) having some REALLY selfless leaders like Kasuke, calbrone, wys.

Wow Lavi.. so we're all supposed to be enemies now because we don't wear the same linkpearl? That makes no sense to me at all.

So, our shell had a few members that clashed with each other, and some people left. Is that such an uncommon thing? Does our LS really deserve to dragged through the mud on qcdn for that?

I can tell you're upset but really.... Was this necessary?

Also, you should understand your thread being removed from our LS website. You quit.. it should be self explanitory... We need to move on, and obviously so do you.

My actions? You can seriously come on to the forums and question my actions after what Payge did? This woman went out with the sole purpose to start shit in the LS, kick members, members who had been with the LS a very long time and for what reason? Because they questioned the fact that nothing was happening? The huge lack of leadership? Or possibly because it was hugely evident with Payge's recent BS that the LS was destined to die? Everyone knew there were problems and something was going to happen and considering Payge was the only member with access to the LS bank, what did you expect? I understand Atiba's lack of presence in the shell and that he needs to take care of personal matters, but if you consider yourself a leader then you better fucking step up. Not one of you did. Not one. Instead, all I got was "I can't be bothered to" and real life is greater than a game meanwhile you are still calling yourself a leader and still playing the game. Either you step up and do something, or get the fuck out the way for someone else to take charge because you morons can't possibly be expected to do anything. I gave you months and I mean MONTHS to do anything and nothing changed. It had been like this since the day Atiba created the pearl and not one of you could do anything. I asked simple things, so incredibly simple a chimp can do them and yet what was my response? Oh yah, GTFO. Really, what do you expect after I ask that something be done to repair the neglected shell and all I get it is nothing is wrong and stfu? You are goddamn right I'll be pissed.

Now I have friends trying to join the shell. In fact, I have already instructed several people to not join Affinity. I cannot idly sit by while you waste others valuable time, energy and treat them as nothing more than pawns. You have done nothing to fix the problems with the shell and made no effort to even try. You still have that miserable cunt calling herself a leader when in fact she is nothing more a useless idiot with a pearlsack. Until you do something and I mean something drastic to fix these problems, I see no reason why I shouldn't warn others. In fact, it gives me all the more reason.

I think it's rude to not respond to a simple "hello". To you it may be trivial, but to others its an important part of communication.
Why though? Why do you consider it rude and why do you consider it important? If something is important, you send a tell or say something of value in ls chat. It is rude to expect ls members to be wal-mart greeters there to sooth your ego and reassure your self-confidence that your meaningless statement (hello in this case) warrents the attention of others. Sure, if you make an important statement such as "How many o-hats are we doing tonight?" and get totally ignored, that is rude. I treat someone saying 'hello' in ls chat the equivalent as saying "I have logged on". I note it, but there is nothing that warrents a response.

You say it is important because they would have had to answer your other questions...why not just ask those in the first place? Its like a stupid mind game. 'If you don't respond to my meaningless statement, then I won't ask a question of value that warrents an actual response.' That is just silly. Ask your question to begin with. If that gets ignored, send tells. If that is still ignored, then get upset. The problem isn't the lack of hellos, but something far more serious in that case.

People are far too sensitive over something so insignifigant (refering to hello).

Actually Rones, I did ask those questions and I was ignored with those questions too. But since you are asking why it's rude let me ask you this: Your friend walks into your room and he says "Hey, how's it going?" Do you a) completely ignore him and hope he doesn't notice you or b) respond? What if it was your girlfriend? Well I hope you chose b, because if you didn't, you aren't going to have a girlfriend for very long. You can consider the this a game all you want, but social rules still apply. When someone says hi, you should be polite enough to respond. It may be a game, but that doesn't give you any reason not to adhere to simple common courtesy.

Yes Lavi, it's true. After Atiba left for real life purposes none of us wanted to step up. I can honestly say that I have no interest whatsoever in leading an end-game linkshell, and you can't expect anyone else too either. Its' far too much stress, and takes some serious commitment to being in game and away from your real life. None of us were leaders or called ourselves that either Lavi. We're just sac-holders.

Also, Atiba did a fantastic job with the shell since day-one. I don't know why you would say that, or have stayed in an LS for over a year if you thought things sucked.

I remember way back when we first started, and we were camping Bune, and you got upset because nobody aswered you when you asked to join us because we were all spamming for claim, yet you took it personal. The exact response you got in LS chat was that "all members who have a pearl can join in any type of LS event no questions asked." Thats a far cry from being told to gtfo.

And this LS has never been greedy.. far from it actually. Just ask Maseki or anyone else who used to CC us. We used to get laughed at cause we would bring an alliance to Bune, or Serket or whatever when they would bring just the necessary amount to kill. We've always been like that, and I don't know why you felt left out. I certainly alway said hello to you when you logged on, and enjoyed your company. I just don't get it.

I don't know the circumstances in which you left, but I'm sorry if somebody told you to stfu. I wasnt there for a lot of this drama, and I consider everyone my friend so it's hard to make heads or tails of a lot of this.

I frequently step away from the game, only to come back having missed a tell or an individual entering LS chat. Obviously I don't say hello to those people right away...Maybe I don't even scroll back up an check to see what transpired.

Maybe I am neck-deep in battle spam and miss something. Stuff happens.
You know where you stand with your friends...If they are readily available, I'm sure they'll reply.

Well my entire thread was actually dedicated to two groups of people, the first being Affinity and the other being another shell I belonged to. Since the latter neglected to even respond, I am only left with the understanding and confirmation I was right. I had expected some sort of reply, most likely I would ignore it, but nonetheless a reply. I guess I was correct though; I really wasn’t your friend, was I? I mean, you ignore me now, just like you have ignored me and forgotten me every day for the past year.

Affinity, where do I start? I guess I can start from the beginning, but I will try to make it quick for those of us with short attention spans. Back in the day, there used to be a LS called ThousandSwords which was a spin off from NH or so I am told, I was never really privy to that information and those that are never really talked about it. Well about a year ago, maybe slightly more, the leader of the TS was having some real life issues and the LS was lacking leadership as well as a direction. At the time, the first people to step up to the job were Olsmugla, Atiba and a few of the older TS members. Well my memory isn’t so great but needless to say, those people started what is now Affinity today. There have been several instances where I have wished to leave the LS because of problems that were never resolved, but I was hesitant to do so for personal reasons. One of the first things that stick out in my mind as a severe mistake was the first Kirin. We killed Kirin on our first attempt; we got great drops, Shining Cloth and an Osode. I believe the osode went to Atiba and the cloth, which it had been the rule of the LS to sell, went to Payge. To me, this was a slap in the face. I was flat out told no to receiving a cloth, but when it finally did drop it was given to the LS leader and girlfriend of the LS owner, Atiba. This was one of many instances where the LS leaders would do certain things solely to benefit certain members, but neglect others. Mind you this is just one event, but it always seemed the rules were being changed to benefit one person more than just the shell as a whole. Granted, I was happy they changed the rules so that WHMs would be able to get a Noble’s and this is how I was finally able to get mine; however, the reasoning behind it was what really annoyed me and quite a few others.

Well Affinity today hasn’t changed a whole lot; many of the members from over a year ago are still with the shell or at least were last week. From the very first day, leadership or the lack of thereof was always a huge issue with Affinity. Whenever we did sky farming, there were always vast amounts of wasted time where nothing could be done for one reason or another. This time could have been better spent farming or killing gods, but the shell was so lacking in organization that no one save a few LS leaders knew what needed to be done. There was no list of what items we possessed, those that did know would share that information, and when asked what to do, you were ignored. I had asked several times for over the span of a year for this information to be posted so anyone could lead sky farming without a leader being present, but was always ignored and finally when the information was posted, it was never updated again. Although to my surprise even with this problem, killing gods was never an issue, but I mainly contribute that to our good members. Most of our members are 75 in at least 1 job, many with multiple 75 jobs and I consider most of them very good at their jobs if not some of the best I have played with.

Now with recent events, Atiba has decided to take a leave of absence for personal reasons. He left the LS basically in charge of the leaders who had been with the shell since ThousandSwords and this was never told to any of the LS members until people started to really question his lack of presence (he left himself afk all the time so people always assumed he was around) and the lack of any LS events. Finally people began to question the lack of anything being done in the LS and this is when the real problems began or the main problem that split the LS. Payge had been very quiet and she always had been, but everyone knew her and Atiba had been very close. She had finally blurted out the reason Atiba had been gone so long and kicked a member of the shell who had been asking all the questions. She kicked her knowing full well she had no right or any reason to do so. She did it because she was angry and emotional. Finally after things settled down again, Pauk and Payge stepped up to a certain extent and started to make the shell active once more. We started farming once again and getting gods done… for about 2 weeks. Then we went back to the old, lets do CoP missions because lots of people need those and it takes no effort by leaders to orchestrate them since it’s expected those that need it, work it out themselves.

One day, Ekin, a long time member since Thousand Swords starts getting questioned on why he got various god gear specifically the Osode since he was mostly playing BLM these days. Ekin had been promised an Osode over a year ago when he joined the shell, much like all the RNG, WAR and NIN had been since day 1. It took well over a year for them to get him that gear. Not because the drop rates are so terrible, not because there were so many others who would get it before him, but because the leaders rarely got around to organizing anything that it took that long to get his drop. They basically accosted him tells that he didn’t deserve it and I’m sorry, after a year of faithful service, he god damn deserved it. Well they basically forced him out of the shell with their tells.

Well, a good part of the LS already has Sea access and started a group doing Limbus which consisted of only Affinity members. We farmed coins for the members to get nice gear and upgrade their relic and we were relatively new to Limbus so a set of rules hadn’t been completely set at the time. After the rules were set, two members, Payge and Andreas decided they didn’t want to take part anymore and would just duo Limbus. But they had taken the liberty of lotting most of the chips and were taking it with them. They made no actions to clarify that they were leaving and didn’t say a word to anyone and just did it. With the recent events, their actions and motives were questionable to say the least so members were left to think the worst. Mind you, these two are considered leaders and refused to equip the pearl 90% of the time. By this time, it was quite obvious to all the members that there were problems with the shell and it was falling apart. I as well as other members had already made several posts on the LS forums about these problems and several members had already started to leave the shell. And when I say several members, I mean members who worked hard in the shell to make it what it was and deserved better than what they got. Well, that’s where the pictures come into play. Payge threw her tantrum again for the gozillionth time. I can assure you everyone including Payge was well aware there were problems with the LS and that it was quite possible that it would be ending soon. So, isn’t it natural that people would start to question what was going to happen to the large LS bank that had been accrued? By the way, Payge even sent me several tells trying to assure me that Affinity wasn’t going to die. Oh, the irony. The person trying the least to save the shell and the most to destroy it telling me Affinity isn’t going to die. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.

These are the events as I saw them and as some were explained to me. If I had neglected anything, I do apologize and feel free to post any responses members might have.

Why in the blue hell are you posting in such a huge font?

I was wondering when you would attempt that analogy. It is flawed in several ways. First, in that case it is a one to one comment, such as a tell which I already said shouldn't be ignored. Second, they likely entered with the intention of starting a conversation or doing something of importance, such as "Hey, wanna go to a movie?". Third, an ls is not an individual. Its more like walking into a classroom and annoucing 'hi' to everyone, but most aren't close friends. Do you expect all of them to respond 'hello' back? Do you expect this to happen everytime someone enters the classroom? See how annoying that would be in real life?

So often I see someone enter and say: "Hello" and its followed by three to five other auto genereated hellos. Then dead silence for 5 mins. Did that hello serve any purpose at all? No, it just wasted attention, time, and was little more than a nuisance. I wouldn't mind responding to hello if it was always the precurser of a conversation. How wierd would it be if your friend walks in your room and say "Hello" which you respond to with "Hello". Then he just stands there for 5 mins staring at you. You would be asking yourself what he wants and why he came in and said hello.

If you consider a 3 month period of no gods/HNMs in a gods/HNM LS excellent leadership... Not only that, 90% of the time I went to sky, there were periods of nothingness. Absolute boredom waiting for a LS leader to give instructions and instead of actually doing anything, I was told to just wait. Instead of popping Despot or camping Ulli, it was more important for me to wait at the entrance because there are lots of important stuff at the entrance? Heck, we could have been getting waters and as boring as it is, I would have been fine with that.

I've been to camp Behemoth and I've seen members ask to join camp and be completely ignored in LS chat meanwhile the party chat is lively as hell. The reasoning? They didn't come to the whole window so they are less deserving. I asked if the LS was camping King Arthro one day, got no response except from one person in tell. I wasn't really welcomed it seemed. In the latter months of the shell before I left, the same people were always the ones included in camping any HNMs. I'm sure you wouldn't notice though simply because you are among those included and not neglected.

If you don't consider yourself a leader, then step down. Payge considered herself a leader, abused the power she was given kicking several members for asking natural questions and never once using her authority as a leader to do anything productive. The most she ever did in the past several months was make a LS message. Again, any retard with a pearlsack can do what she did as long as they have a pulse.

Unfortunately, it seems you and Tom were the only ones nice enough to offer to continue the static, but when it was just the three of us left, I didn't feel like inconveniencing you both any more than I already had. Although, if you do want to party now, I'll be more than glad to join.

I consider most everyone in my all my linkshells friends so by definition, my original scenario still holds true. However, if you want to make the scenario more relavent, it would be like me walking into a party and saying "Hi" to all my friends and I don't expect 5 mins of dead silence as I like to talk... a lot.
