Spoiler:
I agree, but it's the confirmed material right now

I'll be skeptical until I see the chapter but the person who gave out the info has never been wrong before

Spoiler:
the only way it would makes sense is if it shows Konohamaru, then a random rasengan hitting Pain. In which case, it could just as easily be Kakashi.

Spoiler:
The spoilers I've found say that when Konohomaru is about to die, he has a flashback to Naruto teaching him the (first part? This section is kind of unclear) of the Rasengan. Eventually he uses a Kage Bunshin to create one and buries Pain under a lot of rubble.

I doubt he actually defeated Pain, but he at least made a stand so now someone can save him without Konohamaru losing face.

Spoiler:
konohamaru gets fucked up and pain starts extracting his soul, there's some emotional bullshit hokage moment and he beats the pain body with rasengan

elsewhere tsunade realizes that pain is yahiko and they start talking about wars and kages and stuff and then begin fighting

shizune is talking to the code deciphering group about pain, when a pain body appears and captures shizune

he reads her mind to find out where naruto is, this ends the chapter

oh fuck you kishi, fuck you -_- that's all I have to say.

I read the chapter.

Spoiler:
He uses it. Fuck, kishi.

Animated Rasen Shuriken hitting Kakuzu was nuts.

Konohamaru's Rasengan he pulled out of his ass was not. I also can't help but feel that Konohamaru signed his own death certificate by declaring he is "Sarutobi Konohamaru." Confirming your surname as one that seems cursed is a bad move kid. But anyway, yeah. Konohamaru, for whatever reason, has just become a broken character. Beyond A-Rank technique at age 12, without a character gimmick. Using two Shadow Clones means he also split his chakra in thirds. And didn't seem at all tired after blasting the Pain body. Game Over future Naruto Villians. You're fucked. Naruto can quit training. Konohamaru can fetch Sasuke for him now.

You know, this just opens up the question of why is he still a genin? Surely Ebisu would've realized Konohamaru's talent and pushed him to take the Chuunin Exams by now. He's busting out Jounin and Kage level jutsu.

Well, that part can at least be answered by Ebisu trying to protect him, and not letting him take the exams, or something like that.

Spoiler:
i think its better if they kill him off , but they choose the other way ...

btw they should make the make the next naruto filler or movies about Hidan revenge on Shikamaru ;p

I'm pretty sure Ebisu lost the colossal stick in his ass way back in Part 1 when he realized how serious Konohamaru was taking his training after hanging out with Naruto.

Well, Ebisu seemed completely unaware of Konohamaru's strength so it's not a surprise he isn't a genin. Plus as Naruto demonstrated, it takes more than pure brute force to become a genin since he won his match, but never made the rank.
Spoiler:
Pretty sure Pain is going to leave Konoha and in the commotion, Danzo is going to kill Tsunade.

His Rasengan was a good bit smaller then Naruto's.....

But still, it took Naruto, who has limitless chakra almost, gruelling training from a Legendary Ninja to learn it.

So what they're saying is, Naruto showed him the move, and he just happened to get it on his own? Naruto has been busy, and no way did he have time to work with Konohomaru on how to perfect the technique.

How can he do something that virtually killed Kakashi...are they saying Konohomaru is better then Kakashi... I CALL BULLSHIT.

I don't recall anything saying Kakashi had difficulty learning Rasengan. But the fact that it seems he learned it entirely on his own, using Shadow Clones(remember folks, Chakra is split evenly among clones,) and he got it down within 3 years starting training while he was about 9 fucking years old, makes him pretty damn powerful for his age. He's pacing just as fas as Naruto has(or hell, even faster,) and he doesn't have anything special about his character. I think it's pretty proof positive when he dropped an enemy that has taken out a bunch of Chuunin and an Elite Jounin. Remember, Chuunin level characters are on the same level as the rest of Naruto's classmates/fellow teams, excluding Shikamaru and Neji(due to one being incredibly badass, and the other being a Jounin.)

Rasengan size shouldn't matter either. Ideally the smaller the better, from a physics standpoint, because that means theres more force from the rotation going on.

Then why was Jirayai's so damn huge? That thing was massive. Also from a force wise yes, but from a chakra level no.

Also my whole rant was him learning it anyway, not how he learned, dude should never have been able to do, just yet anyway. That was supposed to be rare and unique move created by one of the most powerful ninja's to ever step foot on that planet. Now I guess it's going to be handed out like Super Saiyans levels lol.

I think he was referring to the fact Pain killed Kakashi, but Konohamaru defeated one of the bodies quite easily, not about learning rasengan.

Couldn't agree more, haven't read the manga yet so I can't comment on it. Enjoyed this week's episode a lot though, watched the Rasen Shuriken attack scene a few times, it was pure win.

Well, no matter how much you compress something, you'll eventually need a bigger container to contain it all. Yes, big Rasengans can be very violent. But so can the smaller ones. A flashy giant Rasengan is going to be no where near as effective as a smaller serious one. Which is probably why we only saw Oodama Rasengan once.

I agree, partially. It does kind of make sense as far as the whole lineage theme the series likes to tug at. Minato taught it to both Kakashi and Jiraiya, student and master respectively. Jiraiya taught it to Naruto as a student(who just happens to be the creators son.) And now Naruto "taught" it to Konohamaru, who sees Naruto as a mentor. Eventually Naruto would have had to teach it to someone, unless he wanted to take it to the grave with him.

It's just like how all the Hokage have had a relationship to the First in some way. Brother(2nd)/Grandfather(Tsunade, 5th)/Chain of Students(Sarutobi(3rd) => Jiraiya(Prospective 5th) => Minato(4th).) And the Kazekage title held by a single family.

I'm ok with him learning it eventually. I just thought now was kind of stupid with his age and all. Like you said, that would make him the best up and coming ninja ever. Itachi nor Kakashi pulled anything off at that age, and nothing leading up to this showed Konohamru should have either.

Then again, I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't kill that body.

By 12 Kakashi was a Jounin, had learned the Rasengan and created the Chidori, so Konohamaru isn't his equal.

If Naruto walked him through it step by step with the Kage Bunshin cheat, then I guess I could see him learning it. But it still pisses me off.

From Naruto Wiki:
"Not much is known about Itachi's childhood except that when he was only 4, Itachi had already witnessed countless lives lost due to war, which emotionally traumatized and affected his demeanor. It is also known that at age 7 he graduated from the ninja academy after only one year at the top of his class. He also graduated from the Academy and mastered the Sharingan at age 8, passing the Chunin exam at age 10 and becoming ANBU Captain at age 13. "

Not sure if thats better or worst, but it is something.

Guys I mentioned Kakashi and Itachi because they were both genius, I know they did a lot at young ages, which is why I brought them up. They accomplished more at a young age then any other Ninja. Thats why I used them, because where in the story other then now was Konohomaru mentioned on par with them at that age?

But where did it say Kakashi learned Rasengan at that age? I'm pretty sure it was just Lightning Blade at a young age. Itachi the same, at that age, while a genius, didn't master one of the most powerful moves.
