Yet you see there a flaw in this anology. Camel wants people buy there product, they don't scold the buyer. They don't go to there house put big ass sign in the yard that says "this guys a smoker stay away." So arguments still stands is it not hypocritical to pitchfork the buyer if your a seller.
I didn't say his previous posts weren't hypocritical of him.
I said I understand his perception, it seems as though he views it as a business. I understand that, and I agree with that. It IS a business.
The cigarette analogy works differently for me. In Canada the Government has forced tobacco companies to put graphic images along with the standard warning labels on on their packs to try and persuade their customers to quit. BUT because our Government makes a KILLING on smokes, they're benefiting and cashing out on the cancer sticks, they won't out law it. They are the seller, not the direct seller but they play the largest part in that they are Government. Because it's a business and they want some $$$ they won't outlaw it. So it's the buyers that need to smarten up if cigarettes are ever to be outlawed, shit the Government will move onto the next monopoly to make extra $$$.
The drug analogy I can see as well, if you have never been around the scene whether as mild as buying pot weekly or heavy as a nose candy addiction than you probably don't have the best perception on how it works. People who do/have lived that life style or been around it full time for a period of time have an insiders and outsiders understanding.
I have had friends that did not smoke or do any drugs but sold them because, hey, they have a friend who needs to unload a couple pounds of chronic and could use the cash. I'll tell ya what though, if there was no demand for Chronic they wouldn't be selling it, they'd find another way to make their money.
Long and short of my opinion, I suppose, is you can't tuck everything into a good/bad category to fir your needs because it just doesn't work that way, there are and always will be exceptions and everyone needs to understand and come to terms with it otherwise life is going to be a bitter one.
Thus the circle continues... round and round we go, where it stops...
