Ah well at the time this thread was created I don't think there was a definite title for the movie, other than Dragonball. So, perhaps if you had made that your search, you'd have found it? Anywho, it was right on the first page of threads in the multimedia board. o.o You just had to look at the page and you'd find it.

Oh well, about this movie, I'll probably go see it but not because it's anything related to Dragonball. That would just ruin it for me completely if I think about it like that. Instead.. I'm just going to watch it an hopefully enjoy it as an okay martial arts movie. Last good one of those movies I saw was that one with Jackie Chan and Jet Li.

It kinda reminds me of that Dead or Alive movie that came out which I think was in theaters for all but 3 days.

For me personally, even if I saw this movie I could not get into it. There's a big difference between making fantasy look and feel believable versus making fantasy look silly. My best example of this for me would be the two Hulk movies that came out. The first one I could not get into at all. The way he was animated and portrayed, I just couldn't get into the whole big green guy thing. Now the Edward Norton version *drool*, was much easier for me to get into for the same reasons the first film did not, in my tastes, execute.

I think this is going to flop :\
 
When I heard of this movie....and heard it was with real people and not drawn or CG...I cried...a lot
 
Wow, that was pretty freaking horrible.
 
The fight was neat until the "flying crane strike" or whatever the fuck the energy attack that doesn't exist was used.

man, if they actually made this based on the actual manga/anime it could actually be good, dumbasses
 
I should have never had high hopes for this movie..*sigh* but i'll see it none-the-less. :verysad:

This may go down in history as the worst Hollywood pop-culture conversion movie of all time. A title currently held IMO by the Super Mario Bros. movie.

I can't imagine anyone who truly enjoys the animated series being remotely interested in paying legal tender to see this.
 
Everyone... who's with me in a protest at the studio where all the people whom have just had their childhood raped by the movie or even a clip of it stand outside with their palms to the sky in an attempt to create a massive spirit bomb the likes of which has never been seen before?
 
Khajit, as far as creating a massive bomb goes, I think they've got us severely outmatched... /sigh
 
You know when you consider the special effects they can make these days, they really could have done something amazing with this.
 
What's worse is I read the script due to a friend getting a leaked copy, I cried a lot, my childhood died inside ='(

Super Mario Bros. was bad, but nowhere near as bad as this classic superhero movie.

My god that was fucking terrible. The kid playing Goku seemed like he was trying to do a parody Capt Kirk voice. God damn it Hollywood. GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.
 
Steel wasn't even THIS bad. I could actaully watch that and laugh. DB: Evolution just makes me sad.
 
Sounded like the Goku actor was reading off a prompter...horrible.

The acting was terrible.
